Abdel Aziz El Mubarak

Abdel Aziz El Mubarak (Arabic عبد العزيز المبارك ) (* 1951 in Wad Madani ) is a singer and oud player from Sudan.

Wad Madani applies in Sudan as the "City of the Arts ", and Abdel Aziz El Mubarak has a musical family: his brother Ahmed and his son Osama are known violinist, another brother is a flutist.

He was trained in the early 1970s at the Institute of Music and Drama in Khartoum. His first appearances on radio and television, he made in 1975 and became famous in Sudan. He was the first Sudanese, who took part in 1988 at the WOMAD Festival.

Abdel Aziz El Mubarak sings mostly love songs; here he is accompanied by a ten- piece orchestra with the following instruments: bass guitar, tabla, saxophone, four violins, guitar, bongo and accordion. It also occurs as a solo oud player. Abdel Gadir Salim addition, he is one of the most famous musicians of Sudan.
