Abdelkader Bouhenia

Abdelkader Bouhenia ( born May 7, 1986 in Carcassonne ) is a French boxer. He won one medal at the World Amateur Championship in 2009 and at the European Championship of Amateur 2010.

Career

Abdelkader Bouhenia was born the son of North African immigrants to France in Carcassonne. As a child he began at the age of six years at the U.S. Sports Club Carcassonne with the boxes. For boxing, he came in first place by his brothers, of whom operate in nine children of Bouhenia family no less than seven this sport. Of these seven brothers, he was, who received the nickname " Kedebe ," by far the most successful boxer. At a size of 1.90 meters, he is boxing heavyweight, the weight category to 81 kg of body weight, but he still sees so good that he can work as a male model next to the boxes.

His first major success at the national level, he celebrated in 2004 when he won the French junior champion at middleweight. It was used by the French Boxing Association at the 5th Francophonie Games in Niamey / Niger 2005. He takes it in the middleweight division a 5th place. 2007 Abdelkader Bouhenia was first French champion in the senior light heavyweight. This title he repeated in the years 2009, 2010 and 2011. In 2009 he started at the 16th Mediterranean Games in Pescara, where they lost in the light heavyweight division in the quarterfinals against Yahia Elmekachati from Tunisia on points (1:2) and therefore only came on the 5th Place. He was nevertheless nominated for the World Cup this year in Milan. There he showed greatly improved and defeated Danieyar Ustembajew from Kazakhstan ( 20:8 ), Daugirdas Semiotas, Lithuania ( 11:7 ), Sandagsuren Erdenebayar, Mongolia ( 17:5 ) and Kenneth Egan, Ireland, the silver medalist from the 2008 Olympics ( 17:9 ) on points and the semi-finals Elshod Rasulow over from Uzbekistan, against whom he defeated on points ( 4:8 ). He thus won a world championship bronze medal.

In November 2009, he confirmed this good result with a 2nd place at the 2nd AIBA President's Cup in Baku. He defeated there Yerkabulan Schinalijew from Kazakhstan ( 9:5 ) and Reece Papaupe, New Zealand ( 6-4 ) on points, before losing in the final battle against Carlos Gongora of Ecuador shortly after points ( 7:7 ).

In 2010, Abdelkader Bouhenia part in the 38th European Championship in Moscow. He defeated Vladimir Cheles there, Moldova (10:1), Daugirdas Semiotas (3:2), and Obed Mbwakongo, England ( 11:9 ) and Kenneth Egan ( 11:9 )) to points and was thus in the final the Russians Artur Beterbijew opposite, against whom he had a terrible chance and had to be taken already in the first round of the fight.
