Abdelmajid Bourebbou

Abdelmajid Bourebbou (Arabic عبد المجيد بوربو; born March 16, 1951 in Arris, Algeria ) is a former Algerian football player who spent his entire career with French clubs, but ran aground internationally for his country.

Club career

Bourrebou grew up in Algeria, spent his later youth after the independence of his homeland in 1962, however, in the northern French Normandy. There he began his career with the U.S. Quevilly, when he was recorded in 1970 with 19 years in the second division team. However, he came out in the next two years, not five appearances, so he returned Quevilly the back and found another employer in the second division in the neighboring club FC Rouen. In Rouen he on first attempt the leap into the starting eleven and scored 15 goals all competitions. Following it were the first injury and then the additions Armando Bianchi and Daniel Horlaville which displaced the Algerians again from this position. Then it was the German player Erich Maas, who blocked his progress, even though he scored many goals in his relatively few uses.

In the course of the season 1976/77 Bourebbou managed to return to the first team and scored 17 goals in addition to which it was end of the season through to promotion to the top French league. Although he retained following the rise of his role as a regular player, but he could not contribute more than four goals this season and so does not prevent the descent as Table.

Despite all of the players remaining in the first division in 1978 when he found a new employer at the Stade Laval. With the team he joined in the relegation battle, but was again set as starting player, even if he could not continue his success at the gate of the second division. After two seasons as a regular player in which he had ever met six times, he was demoted in 1980 for Joker. He retained this role until in 1983 at age 32 after 126 Erstligapartien with 20 goals and 108 second-division games with 48 goals ended his career. Later he returned to Algeria.

National

At a time when he showed a substitute player in Laval and the end of his career already hinted Bourebbou was appointed in 1982 in the Algerian national team to the age of 31 to debut in a 1-1 draw with Peru on April 25 for this. Shortly afterwards, he was considered for the 1982 World Cup.
