Abdilatif Abdalla

Abdilatif Abdalla ( born April 14, 1946 in Kenya) is a Kenyan writer.

He was until 2011 a lecturer in Kiswahili at the University of Leipzig and was a veteran of the Kenyan anti- imperlialistischen movement and an activist for social justice. Because of his work on the underground pamphlet: " Kenya Twendapi " he was a political prisoner in Kenya by 1969 to 1972.

Among other things, he translated Václav Havel's play The vernissage in his native language, adding an epilogue.
