Abdul Rahman (Afghan minister)
Abdul Rahman (* 1953 † 14 February 2002 in Kabul ) was an Afghan politician.
Rahman was a major figure in the Afghan Northern Alliance. In the Afghan Transitional Government Hamid Karzai he was Minister of Aviation and Tourism.
Rahman was lynched by a group of applied pilgrims on the Kabul airport as he tried to use the only aircraft of the Afghan national airline Ariana on a flight to India. The pilgrims were waiting for a flight to Mecca for days. Prime Minister Hamid Karzai suspected a conspiracy and announced to arrest members of the government. Rahman's successor was Mirwais Sadiq.
