Abdyl Këllezi

Abdyl Këllezi (* 1919 in Tirana, † 1976) was an Albanian politician of the partia e puNES e Shqipërisë ( PPSh ).

Biography

After school he studied 1939-1941 in Italy

He belonged to the existing 118 people from the Anti-Fascist Council of National Liberation, who was elected in May 1944 as a transitional Parliament by the Congress of Përmet and helped the Communists to take power. After the founding of the People's Republic of Albania on 11 January 1946 he took over as an expert in finance increasingly important tasks.

On November 28, 1948 Këllezi was appointed Minister of Finance as the successor of Kiço Ngjela the first time and held that post for almost five years until August 1, 1953. In March 1953 he was next Politburo member Liri Belishova, General Beqir Balluku, the Vice - Minister-President Spiro Koleka and the Education and Culture Minister Ramiz Alia to the delegation at the state funeral of Josef Stalin.

On July 20, 1954, he was the successor of the deposed tuk Jakova again finance minister and held this position until his replacement by Aleks Verli on 4 June 1956. Moreover, he was a member of the Central Committee of the PPSh and a deputy of the National Assembly ( Kuvendi Popullor ) and represented in this circle Tirana.

In addition, he was chairman in 1959 of the influential Albanian -Chinese Friendship Association and won after the break with the Soviet Union and Albania of greater interest to the People's Republic of China in the early 1960s in importance. At the same time between 30 October 1974 and 1 September 1975, was Deputy Prime Minister. In December 1974, he submitted to the National Assembly under the five- year plan before the annual economic report and the budget.

Reason for his loss of power was the accusation of military economic conspiracy, the next to him Defense Minister General Beqir Balluku, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces ( Forcat e Armatosura të Shqipërisë ) General Petrit Dume, chief of the Main Political Administration of the Armed Forces General Hito Cako, industrial and Mining Minister Koço Theodhosi, Lipe Nashi and other fell victim as well as the assertion of too great proximity to the Soviet Union, to the Prime Minister of the people's Republic of China Zhou Enlai and Yugoslavia.
