The children were cared for by teachers. Here in infancy promoted a specialist two children, just before the beginning of school there were five. It was also on the healthy food of children and that they have been vaccinated, respected.

Evaluation

The children's development was compared with the development of children from a control group. The children in the control group were reared by mothers with comparable socio -economic status and came from the same neighborhoods.

  • The children who had participated in the project, were aged 21 years smarter than the children from the control group ( 4.4 points in overall IQ, 4.2 points in the verbal IQ).
  • They visited more frequently from college or had visited it (36 % vs. 14%)
  • They were often skilled workers (47 % vs. 27%)
  • They were less frequently teenage parents (26 % vs. 45%)

Criticism

It is criticized that the groups would have been too small. A total of 112 children participated in the project. 57 children were sponsored and 54 children were the control group.
