Abed Bwanika

Abed Bwanika ( born August 1, 1967 in Kimwanyi, Masaka District ) is a Ugandan politician.

1988 to 1994 he studied veterinary medicine at Makerere University in Kampala. From 1994 to 2001 he continued working as a lecturer at Makerere University. In 2001 he founded the agricultural consulting firm Livestock Consult.

While he worked on the campaign trail in 1996 for Yoweri Museveni, he moved to the 2001 election to the camp of the Museveni - Besigye Kizza counterparty.

In the presidential elections on 23 February 2006 he was one of the six independent candidate for president, but only won 0.95 percent of the vote.
