Abelardo Castillo

Abelardo Castillo ( born March 27, 1935 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine journalist and writer.

Life

Shortly after his birth, his family settled in San Pedro ( Buenos Aires Province ). There he spent his childhood and youth in 1952 and returned to his native city. His livelihood earned Castillo initially as a freelance contributor to various newspapers, and later he was for some years editor of the literary magazine " El escarabajo de oro " and "El Ornitorrinco ".

At age 24, he was in 1959 with his story " Volvedor " successful debut. Through his subsequent readings (including Café Tortoni ) he made ​​the acquaintance of the writer Sylvia Iparraguirre; In 1976, he married her in Buenos Aires.
