Aberu Kebede

Aberu Kebede (* September 12, 1989 in Shewa ) is an Ethiopian long-distance runner.

Her first big success was the victory at Stramilano 2009. Shortly thereafter, she was national champion in the 10,000 m.

In the fall, she won the World Half Marathon Championships in Birmingham bronze in 1:07:39 h, with only one second behind the second-placed Philes Moora Ongori, and silver in the team standings. When Delhi Half Marathon she finished third.

In 2010 she was at her debut on the 42,195 - km - distance second in the Dubai Marathon in 2:24:26 h, won the Rotterdam Marathon in 2:25:29 h and the Berlin Marathon in 2:23:58 hours. Kebede 2012 could repeat their victory in the Berlin Marathon. They ran in 2:20:30 h personal best.
