Abgoosht

Abgusht or Abgoosht (Persian آبگوشت Germanized, also Abguscht ) is a Persian, but also Mesopotamian Schmorfleischsuppe. This is also called " Dizi " if it is made in a traditional clay pot. Abgusht is usually made ​​from lamb, chickpeas, white beans (or kidney beans like beans ), onions, potatoes, and tomatoes, turmeric, and dried limes. Other variations provide snake beans.

The ingredients are mixed and boiled. The solid ingredients are then mashed and served with broth. This is served in a separate bowl of nan -e Lavāsch or " Nan -e Barbari ". The pita bread is cut into small pieces and the Brühschüssel filled with it until the broth is completely absorbed.
