ABI Technik

ABI technology ( Subtitle: Journal of Automation, construction and technology in the archive, library and information science ) is a German -language library journal with a focus on automation, construction and technology in the BID area. It was founded in 1981. The founders included, among other things, the then Deputy Director of the University Library of Karlsruhe, Rolf Fuhlrott, who was also co-editor from 1982 to 1997.

The ABI technique was published Neuer Merkur since its creation by the end of 2010 at the Munich publishing; from the beginning of 2011, she appears in the Berlin publishing house De Gruyter Saur. Responsible editor in chief Berndt Dugall, Executive Director of the University Library Johann Christian Senckenberg ( belonging to the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main). The ABI published quarterly.

The contributions of the journal consist of scientific papers, communications and reviews and come from experts in the field of library science and Archives Administration. It deals with, for example, issues of preservation, the library building and the use of modern information systems.
