Abigail Spears
Abigail Spears ( born July 12, 1981 in Valley Center, San Diego County) is an American tennis player.

Career
Spears began playing tennis at age seven. In 1998 and 1999 she was in the United States, the No. 1 junior ranking in doubles and she finished 1999 ranked in the top 10 of the individual ranking.
Since October 2000 she has been a professional player. In the individual it has now attracted eight tournaments on the ITF Women's Circuit. In double pass her already 21 wins at ITF tournaments, and twelve on the WTA Tour.
In 2012 she stood with her doubles partner Raquel Kops- Jones six times in the final of a WTA tournament ( Loss in Brisbane, Doha ), the four tournaments in San Diego, Seoul, Tokyo and Osaka could win it. In Sydney, Birmingham and Moscow, they lost in the semifinals each of the double - Kveta Peschke and Katarina specialists Srebotnik and Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond and Maria Kirilenko / Nadia Petrova.
With its outstanding performance in double Spears reached on 24 June 2013, No. 11, a new highest ranking in the WTA world rankings.
At the Australian Open in 2014, she stood with her constant doubles partner for the first time in the semifinals of a Grand Slam tournament. There were subject to the two Makarova / Wesnina in three sets.
Personal
Abigail Spears is the daughter of a computer analyst. She has an older sister and lives in San Diego.
