Abiodun Oyepitan

Abiodun " Abi " Oyepitan ( born December 30, 1979 in London) is a British sprinter.

At the World Athletics Championships in Edmonton in 2001, it reached more than 100 m the quarter-finals and came up with the British team in the 4 x 100 - meter relay team to fifth place. Shortly thereafter, she won the 100m gold at the Universiade.

The following year she won with the English team bronze at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester and was sixth over 100 meters at the European Athletics Championships in Munich.

In 2003 she reached the quarterfinals at the World Championships in Paris / Saint- Denis about 200 m.

At the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004, she reached the semi-finals over 100m and finished seventh over 200 m.

A fatigue fracture and injuries to the Achilles tendon prevented that they could build in the following years these services.

Abiodun Oyepitan is coached by Tony Lester and starts Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers for. She has a degree in political science and sociology at Brunel University.
