Ablis is a commune in the region Ile- de -France in the Yvelines department in the arrondissement of Rambouillet in the canton of Saint -Arnoult -en- Yvelines.
The village is located about 30 kilometers south of Paris. The municipality covers approximately 26 square kilometers, which are mostly used for agriculture (80 percent), at 155 meters above sea level. It has 3260 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).
