Abraham Berliner

Abraham Berliner ( born May 1, 1833 in Obrzycko, † April 21, 1915 in Berlin) was a Jewish scholar, literary historian, since 1873 professor of Jewish history and literature at the Rabbinical Seminary in Berlin, founder (1874 ) and until 1893 the editor of the " magazine for the Science of Judaism ", co-founder of the Orthodox Berlin Adass Jisro'el community and chairman of their representative assembly.

Next he provided, inter alia, critical editions ( Rashi on the Pentateuch, 1905; Targum Onkelos, 1884) and historical representations ( " From the Life of the German Jews in the Middle Ages ", 1900).
