Abraham Waligo

Abraham Nkalubo Waligo (* July 28, 1928; † 6 March 2000) was a Ugandan politician.

Waligo studied electrical engineering in South Africa and the UK and was after the conclusion of 1955, the first electrical engineer in East and Central Africa. After two years of vocational training in various electricity companies in the UK in 1957 he returned back to his home country and rose to Chief Engineer of the Electricity Board ( UEB ) on. In 1969, Waligo an engineering firm. In addition, he was involved in the engineering organization as well as in the field of higher education for engineers. Later, he also worked as Director General of the Uganda Airlines.

During his later political career Waligo was Minister of Housing and Urban Development and Finance Minister.

Waligo was on August 25, 1985 to January 26, 1986 acting as the successor of only 24 days as Prime Minister, former President Paulo Muwanga Prime Minister. In January 1986 he Samson Kisekka followed. During his time as Prime Minister, he held still, the Office of Finance.
