Abreschviller

Abreschviller ( German: Alberschweiler, 1941-44 Albersweiler, Lorraine Elwechwiller ) is a commune with 1510 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. The place name was written in French Abreschwiller Before 1945.

Geography

The community lies on the edge of the Vosges at the Sarre Rouge, near the Donon. Districts are La Valette, Charlot, Les Deux Rivières, Grossmann and Grand soldier ( soldiers Thal ).

In addition to the former station Abreschviller since 1968 leads the operated as a museum railway Chemin de fer Touristique d' Abreschviller ( Waldeisenbahn Alberschweiler ). It was built on the railway line to Grand soldier of the former Forest Railway of Abreschviller.
