Abrostola agnorista is a butterfly of the family of cutworms ( Noctuidae ).

Features

The moths reach a wingspan from 29 to 37 millimeters. Similar to the dark gray Nettle Höckereule the front wings are rather narrow, but they can be a little wider than this. The moth is dark gray, but his Saumfeld has a more whitish appearance, which is why he acts more contrast than the dark gray Nettle Höckereule. The flaws are, if at all, only weakly outlined in black and Saumfeld there are no wire lines. Yellowish to off-white interference is usually found in Basalfeld and in the lower part of the Saumfeldes.

Similar Species

Since the butterfly is very similar to the dark gray Nettle Höckereule ( Abrostola triplasia ), one can distinguish the two species in cases of doubt, only by a genital examination.

The finds from the south of the Caucasus and northwestern Iran is Abrostola hyrcanica.
