The Absaroka Range is a 240 km long and up to 80 km wide mountain range in the Rocky Mountains. It is located in the U.S. states of Wyoming and Montana and forms the eastern border of Yellowstone National Park. The highest point is 4008 m high peak francs. A large part of the mountain range is located in nature reserves belong next to the Yellowstone National Park to the Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness - the North Absaroka Wilderness, the Teton Wilderness and Washakie Wilderness.

During the ice ages went by the Absaroka Range from the glaciers that formed an ice cap over virtually the entire territory of present-day Yellowstone National Park. They had considerable influence on the design surface of the Yellowstone Plateau and the south bordering valley of Jackson Hole.

The mountain is named after the tribe of Absarokee Indians.
