Absentia is an award-winning low-budget horror film from director Mike Flanagan from the year 2011.

Action

Tricia's husband Daniel has been missing for seven years. Her younger sister Callie comes now for a few months to her because Tricia finally after a long time would like to register as a 'dead in absentia ' him now. While Tricia Daniels scoured old things, Callie feels a mysterious tunnel near the house, dressed. She finds out that many more people have disappeared near the tunnel and in all cases is the speech by a mysterious creature. The more the two find out about the tunnel, in the greater risk they embark.

Publication

The world premiere of the film was on March 3, 2011 at the Fargo Film Festival. This was followed by numerous other performances, among others at the Phoenix Film Festival, Fantasia Film Festival and Shriekfest.

DVD / Blu -Ray Release

On 13 March 2012, the film was released in the U.S. on DVD. In Germany the film was released on November 29, 2012.
