Absolute radio-frequency channel number

The ARFCN ( Absolute Radio Frequency Channel Number) is a term of the GSM mobile communications. From the ARFCN, the up-and downlink frequencies of a channel pair can be calculated.

Calculation equations

According to this general formula, the carrier frequencies of the uplink and downlink direction, depending on the ARFCN and the frequency band used, can be calculated for the GSM bands fixed ARFCNs:
