Abu 'l-Asakir Jaysh ibn Khumarawayh

Abul Asakir Jaish ibn Chumarawaih ibn Ahmad ibn Tulun (Arabic أبو العساكر جيش بن خمارويه بن أحمد بن طولون, DMG Abū 'l- ʿ Asaakir Ǧaiš b Ḫumārawaih b Aḥmad ibn Tulun, .. . † November 896 ) was the third ruler the Tulunids in Egypt.

Abul Asakir succeeded his father Chumarawaih in February 896. At the court, in the army and in the administration tips he favored strong freed slaves at the expense of the powerful army emirs. When he still had assassinated an uncle, whom he regarded as a threat to his rule, he was overthrown and killed by the army emirs in November 896. New ruler was his brother Harun ( 896-904 ).
