Abu Salama 'Abd Allah ibn 'Abd al-Asad

Abu Salama Abdallah ibn Abd al - Asad (Arabic أبو سلمة عبد الله بن عبد الأسد, DMG Abū Salama ʿ Abd Allāh b ʿ Abdu l - Asad, . † 625 ) was one of the first Muslims, who took part in the small emigration to Abyssinia.

He was married to Umm Salama, a later wife of the Prophet Muhammad. When he and his wife returned from exile, she finally had to endure great difficulties on the part of the Quraysh in Mecca.

He died at the Battle of Uhud.
