Abyar, Libya

El- Abiar (Arabic al - also ABYA, Arabic الأبيار, DMG al - Abyār ) is a city in Munizip of el Merdj in Libya, about 50 kilometers east of the city of Benghazi and 42 km southwest of the town of el Merdj. In 2010, the population was roughly estimated to be 32 563.

History

Prior to 2007, el- Abiar was the capital of the district of Hizam al- Akhdar (see also List of cities in Libya).
