Abyss (roller coaster)

Abyss (English for abyss ) in the Australian theme park Adventure World ( Bibra Lake, Western Australia, Australia) is a steel roller coaster model from Euro -Fighter of the manufacturer Gerstlauer Amusement Rides, which was opened on 1 November 2013. The 630 meter long and 12 million U.S. dollar range reaches a height of 30 meters, from which the trains are accelerated to a maximum speed of 85 km / h and has next three inversions, a ski run with a gradient of 100 degrees.

History

In April 2013, the park on its Facebook page was first announced that an attraction for 12 million U.S. dollars in the year 2013 was to be built. In May 2013 started the construction work and in July arrived first rail parts. The structure of the web itself by Gerstlauer lasted seven weeks. Because of the horror theming the name of the track on Friday, September 13, 2013 was announced. On 1 November 2013 Abyss was opened.

Ride

The first part of the journey still takes place inside the station building. After the car has left the station, it passes through a right turn, which is followed by a small departure. After several left turns entering the car with the inline twist, a complete rotation of the rail, in the first of three inversions. Outdoors arrived the car climbs the vertical lift and thus reaches its original height of 30 meters. In the subsequent 100 degrees steep descent an Immelmann, a combination of a half loop and a screw, a Prone left turn and an airtime hill follow. The car reached after a right hand bend the block brake. After a further departure, a dive loop and a left turn the train pulls into the final brakes and takes him back to the station.
