The Abyssinian is a breed of horses bred in Ethiopia Klein.

Exterior
The ponies are around 138 cm tall. The Abyssinian is in the eastern type, and is built small and narrow.
Interior
The ponies are very hard and also very fast.
Breeding history
The hippologist Graf Wrangel described the person designated by him Abyssinian pony, also called Ethiopians, which he must have meant a further variant of oriental -Berber race mixture. According to the Abyssinian Wrangel an oriental Pony, the Arabs is very similar, but moves the image in his work The breeds of the horse, the animal toward the Berbers.
The horses are bred in Ethiopia and are adapted to the harsh life and use in the local mountains. Meanwhile the horses but also spread along the coast of the Red Sea. They are mainly used as riding and pack animals.
