Accept (Accept album)

Accept is the debut album by German heavy metal band Accept. It was recorded in 1978 and released in January 1979 on the German label Brain Records.

Formation

The drums on the album was played by Frank Friedrich. But he decided not to pursue a professional music career and was just before the release of the album to its place on Stefan Kaufmann. Bassist Peter Baltes sang at Seawinds and Sounds of War. It was sold from the debut album initially around 3,000 copies. Then Accept went on tour and played for the first time in Belgium, the Netherlands and France.

Reception

On the Allmusic.com page forgave Andy Hinds and a half stars out of five. He wrote that the album is only for " Die- hards and completists ". Compared with the later albums, the band sounds more lame.
