The Access.bus (often abbreviated as Ab ) was a peripheral bus to connect various devices to a PC.

In the early 1990s it became clear that the old interfaces such as serial, PS / 2 and Gameport no longer meet the requirements of modern computer input and other peripherals, the idea was to Philips developed the I ² C bus to use as an external interface. With 100 kbit / s of Access.bus however, was inferior to the slightly later appearing on the market USB clear and could never gain any significant meaning. Additionally problematic is likely to have an effect that royalty payments were due in equipment for the use of Access.bus, when USB is not.

Mid-1990s there were some joysticks, mice and keyboards with Access.bus interfaces, as well as some prototypes of other devices that few of them, however, have ever reached the market.
