Ace

The ace, according to the old spelling ace, abbreviated A, from Old French as ( one unit), is a card value in the French Journal and in most card games the highest card. The correspondence in the German journal is the Daus.

Special features of the map

The card has the French journal in the middle of one of the color game icon ( ♠ ♦ ♥ ♣ ), which is also partly decorated. In German newspapers, such as the Bavarian or Württemberg, however, illustrations are to be found in the center, which have only loose or no connection to the suit.
