Acheloos Painter
The Achelous Painter ( active around 525-500 BCE in Athens ) was a Greek vase painter of the black-figure style. He received his Notnamen after a presentation of the battle of the river god Achelous against Hercules on the amphora F 1851 in the Berlin Collection of Classical Antiquities. He belonged to the so-called Leagros group.
