Achim Bellmann

Achim Bellmann ( born July 27, 1957 in Münster ) is a former modern pentathlete and Olympic athletes in 1984 in Los Angeles.

At the Junior World Championships 1977 in San Antonio, Texas, he won silver behind the Soviet athlete Vasily Nefedov. At the German Championships in Modern Pentathlon 1982, he was runner-up, 1983, he finished in third place. In the 1984 Olympics he finished in 14th place in the individual standings and reached with the German team to sixth place.

In 1985, he joined the fencer camp and was in the same year German Champion and World Champion with the German team epee fencing. Achim Bellmann starts since the 1980s for TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen and is married to Christiane Weber, two-time gold medalist in foil fencing at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles and 1988 in Seoul.
