Achim Vogt

Achim Vogt ( born December 7, 1970 in Balzers ) is a former skier Liechtenstein.

Vogt launched in 1989 for the first time in a World Cup race. The greatest success of his career, he celebrated on 3 December 1994, when he won the giant slalom in Tignes. This success came as a surprise, since Vogt was able to place up to then only five times in the top 20 of a race.

The victory was a one-time affair. Many injuries prevented a confirmation. In the following years, Vogt was able to place only twice in the top ten. During his career, Vogt took part in four Olympic Winter Games. The best result he achieved in 1994 in Hafjell, where he drove in the giant slalom at number 21. In 1995 he was elected to Liechtenstein Sportsman of the Year.

Vogt finished his career in 2004. Today he works as Skikonstrukteur and developers in the Swiss ski company Stöckli.
