The village is located southeast of the forest 12 km south-southeast or from Wolfenbüttel, about 2 km north of the national highway 82, which runs from Goslar Hornburg after Schoningen. He has thereby also access to federal highway 395

History

According to the decision of the Lower Saxony state parliament on 13 April 2011, the municipality Achim was incorporated on November 1, 2011 in the neighboring community Börßum.
