Achlys

Achlys ( Ἀχλύς ancient Greek ) In Greek mythology, the personification of darkness and night of deep sorrow.

While Achlys still appears as impersonal state in Homer, she is portrayed in Hesiod's Aspis as a personification that is consistent with the Keren and the Fates in a killed in battle:

In the Orphic Argonautica she is a servant of Nyx, which leads the team. The Mythograph Hyginus presents Achlys in his Roman counterpart Caligo at the beginning of the origin of the world. From Caligo springs the chaos that is considered as the origin of the world and of the gods in the Theogony of Hesiod and thus in the most common origin of the world myth of Greek mythology.
