ACI Vallelunga Circuit

The Autodromo Vallelunga Piero Taruffi, named after the former Formula 1 driver Piero Taruffi, is a motorsport race track in Campagnano di Roma. The plant is located about 30 km north of the Italian capital Rome.

In the years 2007 and 2008, a round of the Superbike World Championship was held in Vallelunga.

History

Vallelunga Race Track was created in 1951. Starting in 1963, here the Grand Prix of Rome was held, in 1967, the line was extended and property of ACI, the Italian Automobile Club.

In August 2004, the work for a further extension of the line began. It was extended for about 1 km and thus reached the homologation by the FIA. She has since been used by many Formula 1 teams such as Ferrari, Williams or Toyota as a test track.

Also belongs to the track today, a driving safety center.
