Acinaces

The Acinaces (also akinakes or akinaka ) ἀκινάκης from the Greek word, was a mixture of dagger and short sword that was used in the first centuries BC in the eastern Mediterranean.

Description and Use

The Acinces was a double-edged, straight short sword that could be used both on the balance sheet as well to bat. He was an ideal second weapon, since it was small and handy and had a low weight.
