Acquanetta

Acquanetta (actually Burnu Acquanetta, also Burnu Davenport, born July 17, 1921 in Cheyenne, Wyoming; † 16 August, 2004 Ahwatukee, Arizona) was an American actress who in 1946 for her role in Tarzan and the Leopardenweib a high level of awareness obtained. Contrary to widespread assumption Acquanetta was no artist name.

Life

Acquanetta came in the late 1930s to New York and worked as a model for the " Powers Agency". The titled as Venezuelan Volcano indianischstämmige (her mother belonged to the Arapaho at ) Acquanetta received at Universal Studios a contract that was two married in 1945 (and the birth of a son 1947) and 1951 interrupted. After a third marriage to a wealthy car dealer, she left Hollywood. Four children come from the marriage that ended in divorce in 1985. With her husband she produced commercials for his business; in addition, she hosted a Friday night broadcast on a local television station in Arizona, where she accompanied Movies commenting. Burnu Acquanetta died on 16 August 2004, died at the age of 83 years.

Trivia

The published in the New York Times obituary of Acquanetta is the basis of the opera Acquanetta the American composer Michael Gordon, which premiered on June 26, 2005 at the Theater Aachen under the direction of Paul Esterházy.
