Acquaviva Picena

Acquaviva Picena is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 3888 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Ascoli Piceno in the Marche. The community is located about 21.5 kilometers northeast of Ascoli Piceno and about 6 kilometers west of the Adriatic coast.

History

The fortress of Acquaviva was built in the 13th century. The road was strategically controlled inland under the rule of the city of Fermo.
