Acronis Germany GmbH belongs to Acronis International. The company develops backup, restore, and security solutions for physical and virtual servers and cloud environments. Acronis software is sold in about 180 countries and available in 14 languages.

History

Acronis Germany founded in 2002. From the original software for hard drive partitioning and boot loader since created the current disaster recovery and data protection solutions. The products are used by both private users and small and medium-sized enterprises and multinational corporations - such as the BT Group, Oxford Royal Dutch Shell and Volkswagen - are used. Acronis employs approximately 700 people.

Technologies and products

The Acronis products are based on patented disk imaging and bare metal restore technologies. User feedback has relatively strong influence on the development of products according to own data. The main focus is on providing solutions that keep data and systems are always available and are easy even for beginners to use. 2011, the company launched a solution on the market that disaster recovery and data protection in one product.

The product range includes software for backup & Deployment, disk management and security for businesses and consumers, as well as virtualization software. The best-known programs are Acronis True Image Home, Acronis Backup & Recovery and Acronis Disk Director.
