Acta Arithmetica

Acta Arithmetica is a mathematical scientific journal with numerous theoretical focus.

It was founded in 1935 by the Polish mathematicians Arnold Walfisz and Salomon Lubelski and published in Warsaw. There was in the time from 1935 to 1939 three volumes of the journal. Since the fourth band in 1958, the journal is published regularly until today (as of 2014, today 4 volumes per year) and is managed by the Mathematics Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The editor in the time from 1956 to 1969 was Waclaw Sierpiński ( until 1962 together with Arnold Walfisz ). In Acta Arithmetica articles appear in German, Russian, French and English, with English in recent decades prevails.

The impact factor of the journal was in 2012 at 0,472. In the statistics of the ISI Web of Knowledge, the magazine ranked 193 of 295 occupied considered journals in the category Mathematics.
