Actias selene is a butterfly (moth ) from the family of the peacock moth ( Saturniidae ).
Features
Actias selene reaches a wingspan of up to 16 centimeters. The moths have mint green colored wings, where the leading edge of the forewing is dark pink and inwards. The hind wings are drawn out into long tails, the tip of the wing base color, but the other half is colored pink. You wear each one on each wing, typical of peacock moth ocellus. These are mostly colored pink and light yellow margins, on one side they are black in color. The front wings, especially the males, are " moon-shaped " curved. Occurrence

Way of life
After about two weeks the caterpillars hatch, which are initially about five millimeters long and have an intense red base color and wearing black point warts.
