Life and work

Following a Baccalauréat, a Lebanese financial statements, which is comparable to the German Abitur, Ad Achkar studied at the Université Saint -Esprit de Kaslik artistic photography ( fine art ). He made the final there in 2010 and the first student since the foundation of the course he received for his thesis God bless our homes, the highest academic distinction.

One focus of his work is the relationship between man and nature, with the consequent resultant problems.

In his series "God bless our home" he has dealt with the prosperity garbage and recycled objects used exclusively for its decorations. At second glance, it was realized that the photographic idyll is deceptive.

Looking for new talent active in the Arab Ayyam Gallery had called young photographers at a competition in April 2010. Among the 150 participants, the top 15 photographers were nominated by the Ayyam gallery whose images were presented to the public as part of a collective exhibition in Dubai.

The selection of the jury for the first prize fell to Ad Achkar, who has won a prize.
