AD Arganda

The Agrupación Deportiva Arganda is a Spanish football team from Arganda del Rey in the Autonomous Community of Madrid, Spain. The club was founded in 1964 and plays its home matches at the Estadio Municipal de Arganda, which offers space for 3,000 spectators.

Club history

The club was founded on 14 February 1964 by Julian Vadillo and Juanjo Pozo. He spent the first few seasons in the regional leagues of the Autonomous Community of Madrid and managed for the season 1974/75 first promotion to the Tercera División, which at that time was still the third highest league in Spain. However, the club was relegated after just one season again. From the 1977/ 78 could be four seasons in the Tercera División spend again. After the club in the eighties could still play two more seasons in the fourth division, the club was relegated for a long time from the lower classes of the regional leagues. It was not until the 2009/10 season succeeded as group winners Preferente again promotion to the Tercera División, where, however, the direct re- descent took place.
