Ada Public Library

The Ada Public Library (also known as Ada Arts and Heritage Center ) is a historic former library building in Ada in Pontotoc County, in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. The building is located on the South Rennie Avenue to number 400

The library itself was founded January 5, 1936 and remained until the completion of the present building in 1939, in an area of ​​Old City Hall. 1981 the library moved into a new building, the old building now houses the Museum Ada Arts and Heritage Center. The architecture of the building stays in the Colonial Revival style. The foundation is made of concrete, the walls made ​​of brick, the roof is covered with ceramic tiles. Other construction materials include metal and stone.

The architect was Albert S. Ross, the job got the Chapman Construction Company.

The Ada Public Library was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 13, 1989 under the number 89,001,950.
