Adair Crawford
Adair Crawford (* 1748, † 1795 in Lymington ) was a Scots-Irish chemist and professor at the Royal Military Academy. He also practiced occasionally at St Thomas ' Hospital. Crawford was involved in 1790 with William Cruickshank at the discovery of the element strontium. He was a pioneer in the field of calorimetry. Here he influenced Alessandro Volta.
