Adalard of Corbie

Adalhard ( probably 752 *, † January 2 826 ) was a son of the Carolingian Bernhard, the illegitimate son of Charles Martel, and a Franconian.

He was 772 monk, then was 781-814 and from 821 Abbot of Corbie, from 822 also Abbot of Corvey. In the intervening years he was a monk in Noirmoutier.
