Adalbert I of Ivrea

Adalbert I called the realms ( † probably 923 ) was the son of Margrave Anskar II of Ivrea and since about 902 his successor. Adalbert I is one of the ancestors of the House of Burgundy - Ivrea.

Life

He married his first wife, Gisela of Friuli before 900 (* probably 880/885, † June 13 910), a daughter of the Emperor Berengar I, King of Italy and Margrave of Friuli. With her he had two children:

  • Berengar II, * probably 900; † August 6 966 in Bamberg, offset by 923 Margrave of Ivrea, King of Italy, 950, 961 as King
  • Bertha, abbess in Modena

To 915 he graduated with Ermengard of Tuscany (* probably 901; † to February 29 932) a second marriage, the daughter of Margrave Adalbert II of Tuscany and of the kingdoms of Bertha of Lotharingia, daughter of King Lothair II ( Carolingian ). From this marriage he had a second son, Anskar III. ; † 940, which was 937 Margrave of Camerino and Spoleto.
