Adam Brodecki

Adam Brodecki ( born August 1, 1949 in Łódź, † October 17, 2010 in Kielce ) was a Polish figure skater, who started pair skating.

With his partner Grazyna Kostrzewińska Brodecki took part in a total of four world championships. The best result was about a tenth place in 1971 in Lyon. In six European Championship appearances the seventh rank in Gothenburg in 1972 was the best result. Brodecki and Kostrzewińska reached the eleventh place in their single at the Olympics in 1972 in Sapporo.

In his career Brodecki won with his partner, the Polish Cup twice (1971, 1972) and finished in second place five times ( 1968-70, 1974, 1975). In 1965, he had already won with Halina Pawlina the silver medal at these national championships.

After he had completed his medical studies, ended his active Brodecki 1975 figure skating career. Then he moved to Kielce, where he worked as a pediatrician.

He was elected to the Polish United Workers' Party PZPR in the Polish Parliament in 1989.
