Adam Brooks (filmmaker)
Adam Brooks ( born September 3, 1956 in Toronto, Ontario ) is a Canadian screenwriter and film director.
Life
His debut as director and screenwriter Adam Brooks was in 1984 with the film Let's get out. At the Sundance Film Festival he was awarded the Special Jury Prize for this work. Four years later, he directed Red Riding Hood with a new interpretation of the fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. This was followed by some work for television, he also wrote the screenplays for such films as French Kiss and Practical Magic. In 2001, he turned with his third film Deadly Shadows, for which he also wrote the screenplay.
In the 1998's film of man he was nominated for a Golden Satellite Award in 1999.
